Charming Gardens Workshop

I had a blast teaching my friends about quilting last weekend, and I have pictures to prove it.  I love that the quilting bug has been passed on, and hopefully the bug will grow into a monster.  I love monsters (as long as they are quilting monsters).

Currently, I am readying myself for Red Dirt Retreats this weekend.  I have cut and organized 11 kits, made worksheets, and ordered more fabric from the Fat Quarter Shop than I really should.  But I am getting ready.  Emotionally....not quite ready.  This is my first trip away from Noah, and my heart is palpitating.  I know, I know, get over it already...but he is my baby....sigh.  He just turned 1 yesterday....sigh again.   So, wish me luck in my preparations, and my teaching, and let's pray my heart stays in my chest.

  1. Sounds like fun. Wish I could have joined. But hopefully I will sometime in the near future. In the meantime I enjoy seeing your photos on your blog, and reading your amazing book.

  2. Did you see my dripping diamonds on your way out. I was determined to get the center done and wanted you to see how well you taught us. You challenged me and made me think which is a good thing because I would never try a quilt on the bias by myself. I liked how you mixed it up with the much easier charming gardens. I also loved your glue stick idea which I'm going to do with my birthday bash. Thank you so much for the help with colors. It was a great retreat and I hope to get to take classes from you in the future
