What up?

What's up?

Today, I am experiencing a "first."   It's my first experience with a cleaning lady.
I am loving it.

I spent the morning on errands (cleaning cars, library, bank, grocery store)...and my house was still getting clean.

Now I am home, baby is sleeping, and I just finished 3 loads of laundry.

Yes, even with a cleaning lady I have "tons" of chores to do.  Which got me to thinking...."what would I do if I just had a few more moments of time?"

Would I...quilt, clean, spend time with my little ones, read books, get caught up on scrapbooks, organize my pantry, have lunch with friends, take a walk, organize my inbox, etc...

What would you do?

With all this thoughtful introspection (insert laugh and smiley face), I think that maybe we should just do it.  Do whatever we are waiting for time to do.  We keep inventing things to make our lives easier, and yet we are all crazy ladies and gentlemen trying to do more and be more.

What would happen if you stopped whatever really important thing you are doing, and went and spent 20 minutes doing something you want to do?  Maybe 30 minutes....or even an hour (the shock, the horror)?  Would it bring you joy?  Would it bring others joy?

Would it make you a better person?

Just DO it!

  2. I get what you're saying in this post, however I can't get over the fact that you. have. a. CLEANING LADY. Jealous? Yes.

But I've been doing the things I really want to do (sort of). Just ask my laundry :).

  3. I should get a cleaning lady too! I've wanted to forever since I hate cleaning toilets. :P
Usually I do what I want to during the day (play with the kids, read, computer, scrapbook, sew, etc.), and do a really quick cleaning of the house at 4:30.
